Ferric and ferrous oxidation states were considered. As assess- ment tool, we employed local vibrational stretching force constants ka(FeN) and bending force constants ka(NFeN) derived from our local mode theory.

Masticatory muscle changes on magnetic resonance imaging of dogs with compared to meningoencephalitis of unknown origin.

Infectious meningoencephalitides represent an important differential diagnosis for meningoencephalitis of unknown origin (MUO) in dogs. Treatment of the latter requires immunosuppression, but laboratory test results for infectious agents may take several days to return. This study investigated whether the presence of masticatory muscle changes on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the head can be used to distinguish dogs with neosporosis from those with MUO at the time of diagnosis.

Embedding Universal Language Promotion in Pediatric Primary Care to Optimize Early Child Development and Reduce Long-Term Health Disparities.

Objective: To report on the feasibility and outcomes of universal language promotion intervention (Talk With Me Baby [TWMB]) embedded within routine well-child care for children from birth to 3-years old.

Methods: Across 2 primary care clinics, 29 health care team members participated in a 12-month trial to deliver TWMB within well-child care visits. Feasibility was based on clinician feedback during the trial, clinician knowledge assessments, and clinic data.

Preserving the Midwifery Model of Care on a High Acuity Labor and Delivery Unit: Midwives' Perspectives Working in a US Tribal Health System.

Today nearly 9 out of 10 certified nurse-midwives/certified midwives (CNMs/CMs) attend births in hospitals. As the demand for hospital midwifery care has increased over the last quarter century, CNM/CMs' scope of practice has expanded to include care for high-risk patients. Hospital CNMs/CMs are faced with the challenge of balancing support for physiologic birth with an increasingly complex pregnant population cared for in a medicalized ecosystem.

Dentinogenesis imperfecta in a 6-year-old male neutered Labrador retriever: Case report with atypical clinical presentation and treatment review.

This case report details the diagnosis and treatment of dentinogenesis imperfecta in a 6-year-old neutered male Labrador, presenting without concurrent osteogenesis imperfecta. Diagnostic modalities, including radiographs, CT imaging, and histopathological examination, are reviewed in conjunction with the latest literature on canine dentinogenesis imperfecta. This patient presented at a more advanced age than typically reported cases.
