Optimizing scapulothoracic injections: the role of hand positioning in enhancing procedural ease.

Introduction: Pathologies of the scapulothoracic articulation may lead to painful symptoms such as crepitus and bursitis. While conservative treatments are preferred, persistent symptoms may require image-guided injections. This study aims to determine the optimal hand positioning during ultrasound to maximize the distance between the scapula and thoracic wall, and improve its accessibility during injections.

Current updates in MSK infection imaging: A narrative review.

This article presents a comprehensive overview of the diagnostic utility of existing imaging techniques including radiography, computed tomography, ultrasonography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and radionuclide imaging in the context of the most common orthopaedic or musculoskeletal infections. It also includes illustrative images showcasing significant findings in various musculoskeletal infections including osteomyelitis, cellulitis, septic arthritis, necrotising infections and peri-prosthetic joint infections and their associated complications.

 Acute lateral patellar dislocation is a common knee injury pattern. However, coincidental osseous defect may be present in normal knees.  Evaluate the characteristics of osseous bone defect and describe a new ancillary sign associated with lateral patellar dislocation.
