Recent genetic analysis of trichomonads recovered from columbid birds has provided evidence that these parasite species undergo frequent host-switching, and that a current epoch spillover event from columbids likely gave rise to in humans.

Clinical Instructor Perceptions of Preparedness, Performance, and Professionalism of Doctor of Physical Therapy Students from a 2-Year Hybrid Program: A Mixed Methods Study.

Objective: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) education models vary in length, philosophy, and delivery. The purpose of this study was to explore clinical instructor (CI) perceptions of performance in DPT students from a 2-year hybrid program.

Methods: In this mixed methods phenomenological study, data from eight cohorts of students were examined.

We found 18 patients with immunophenotype consistent with classic hairy cell leukemia (HCL) and BRAF mutations other than just V600E. Twelve had 1 non-V600E BRAF mutation and 6 had V600E with 1 (n=5) or 2 (n=1) non-V600E BRAF co-mutations.

Diffusions may be more likely to pass through portions of a network where compatible diffusions are already present. We examine this by incorporating the concept of "relatedness" from the economic complexity literature into a network co-diffusion model.
