Evaluation of the Inaugural Pennsylvania School Nurse Mentorship Program.

The role of a school nurse has evolved due, in part, to complex health conditions and the COVID-19 pandemic. In turn, nurse burnout and early retirement are contributing to school nurse shortages across the United States. Interprofessional support, training, and mentorship are needed to support school nurses new to the field.

A Comparative Study of the Resorption and Immune Response for Two Starch-Based Hemostat Powders.

Introduction: Powder hemostats are valuable adjuncts to minimize intraoperative and postoperative complications. In addition to promotion of rapid coagulation, resorption, and biocompatibility are desirable attributes. Plant starch-based polysaccharide hemostat powders are effective and widely used hemostatic agents, however their source and/or processing can affect characteristics such as in vivo degradability.

Utilizing Participatory Research to Engage Underserved Populations to Improve Health-Related Outcomes in Delaware.

Cooperative Extension is a community outreach program. Despite its large reach, there is a need for the evaluation of changes in health-related outcomes for individuals engaged with Cooperative Extension. A team-based challenge was developed using community-engaged participatory research integrated with Cooperative Extension to encourage healthy eating and physical activity behaviors through Cooperative Extension programming.
