[Osteoporotic vertebral fractures in the elderly: are conventional radiographs useful? - clinical and radiographic results after kyphoplasty].

Aim: In a retrospective study we examined the reliability of conventional radiographs to detect osteoporotic vertebral fractures. Furthermore, we analysed clinical and radiological results 4 weeks and one year after balloon kyphoplasty.

Material And Methods: Between April 2007 and December 2008, 68 patients with 77 vertebral fractures were allocated to kyphoplasty.

Color Doppler imaging versus phlebography in the diagnosis of deep leg and pelvic vein thrombosis.

The objective of this prospective study was to evaluate the accuracy of color Doppler imaging in comparison to phlebography in diagnosing phlebothrombosis. Five hundred and twenty-six phlebographies (reference method) were compared with 526 color Doppler sonographic examinations. Comparison of complete versus fragmented technetium-99m-labeled anti-CEA monoclonal antibodies for immunoscintigraphy in colorectal cancer.

Unlabelled: The goal of this study was to intraindividually compare complete versus fragmented directly labeled 99mTc monoclonal anti-CEA antibody with respect to antigen targeting and tumor uptake kinetics, sensitivity and diagnostic accuracy in colorectal cancer patients.

Methods: Twenty-five patients were investigated with 99mTc-labeled anti-CEA IgG1 BW 431/26 and the F(ab')2/Fab' fragment mixture F023C5 within 7 days. For quantitative analysis, an ROI technique was applied to planar scans, whole-body scans and SPECT slices 10 min to 48 hr postinjection.
