The purpose of this study is to define the geographic boundaries of commercial areas by creating a consistent definition, combining various commercial area types, including downtowns, retail centres, financial districts, and other employment subcentres. Our research involved the collection of office, retail and job density data from 69 metropolitan regions across USA and Canada. Using this data, we conducted an unsupervised image segmentation model and clustering methods to identify distinctive commercial geographic boundaries.

Because of the natural origin of EVs, their efficient uptake by recipient cells, capacity to stabilize and transport biomolecules and their potential for cell/tissue targeting and preferential uptake by cancer cells, they have enormous potential for bioengineering into improved and targeted drug delivery systems. In this work, we investigated the use of laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) as a tool to measure the loading of platinum-based chemotherapeutic agents.

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are promising candidates for the detection of disease markers from bodily fluids, but limitations in the standardisation of isolation methods and the intrinsic EV heterogeneity obtained from liquid biopsies are currently obstacles to clinical adoption. Here, cellular responses to cancer EVs were initially explored as potential complementary biomarkers for stage separation using colorectal cancer (CRC) SW480 and SW620 cell line models.

Fracture management remains controversial, given the inherently increased surgical risks in older patients. The objective of this study was to compare fusion rates and outcomes between operative and nonoperative treatments of type II odontoid fractures in the older population.

This is particularly true of cervical spine Tarlov cysts because most attention has been focused on sacral cysts. In this study, we describe our longitudinal experience with patients who underwent surgery for cervical spine Tarlov cysts.
