We present a descriptive analysis of dermatoses observed in Lao RDP. A total of 421 patients consulted in 3 provinces. A predominance of infectious dermatoses, rarity of acne and absence of skin cancer were notified.

Introduction: Penicilliosis is caused by Penicillium marneffei, a dimorphic fungus endemic in southeast Asia and southern China. Since 1988, this deep mycosis has been one of the most frequent opportunistic infections in subjects with HIV infection in this region. We report the first observation of penicilliosis in Laos in a subject infected by HIV.

Introduction: Demodex is a saprophyte parasite in mammals. In Man, it is associated with differing clinical profiles (rosacea-like dermatitis, folliculitis and blepharitis). We report a case of demodecidosis in an HIV-infected patient that was successfully treated with ivermectin.
