A meta-synthesis of the cycle of financial strain, coping behaviors and health outcomes across the life course.

Background: The lived experience and impact of financial strain on broad physical and mental health outcomes is important and yet underexplored. Improving our depth of understanding of the relationship between financial strain and health may offer important insights to address this complex phenomenon.

Objective: The primary objective of this study was to conduct a meta-synthesis of existing qualitative literature that investigated or described the relationship between financial strain and health outcomes.

Relationship Between Ultrasound Diagnosis, Symptoms and Pain Scale Score on Examination in Patients with Uterosacral Ligament Endometriosis.

This study investigated patient pain descriptors for transvaginal ultrasound (TVS) diagnostic evaluation of endometriosis for uterosacral ligaments (USLs), including correlation between USL thickness and site-specific tenderness (SST). It further investigated if SST could positively assist diagnosing endometriosis on TVS. TVS images and SST pain descriptors were collected from 42 patients.

From perpetual pilots to sustainable transformation: Scaling up geriatric care.

With an ageing population, there is an increasing need to focus on the care of older adults, particularly those who are more medically complex. Frail older adults are more likely to require care from multiple providers across multiple settings. It is well recognized that the current Canadian healthcare system is not well-designed for this complex population.

Structural variation in the pangenome of wild and domesticated barley.

Pangenomes are collections of annotated genome sequences of multiple individuals of a species. The structural variants uncovered by these datasets are a major asset to genetic analysis in crop plants. Here we report a pangenome of barley comprising long-read sequence assemblies of 76 wild and domesticated genomes and short-read sequence data of 1,315 genotypes.
