Epigenetics of Conjunctival Melanoma: Current Knowledge and Future Directions.

The purpose of this article is to provide a literature review of the epigenetic understanding of conjunctival melanoma (CM), with a primary focus on current gaps in knowledge and future directions in research. CM is a rare aggressive cancer that predominantly affects older adults. Local recurrences and distant metastases commonly occur in CM patients; however, their prediction and management remain challenging.

Cadmium binding by the F-box domain induces p97-mediated SCF complex disassembly to activate stress response programs.

The F-box domain is a highly conserved structural motif that defines the largest class of ubiquitin ligases, Skp1/Cullin1/F-box protein (SCF) complexes. The only known function of the F-box motif is to form the protein interaction surface with Skp1. Here we show that the F-box domain can function as an environmental sensor.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the suitability, accuracy, and reliability of a non-invasive 3-Tesla magnetic resonance imaging technique (3 T-MRI) for the visualization of maxillary sinus grafts in comparison to conventional, X-ray-based, established standard imaging techniques.

Investigating the incidence, impact, and severity of pulmonary complications after hepatectomy: A single institution experience.

Background: Postoperative pulmonary complications are a common cause of postoperative morbidity in patients undergoing hepatectomy. This study aimed to identify risk factors, define severity, and evaluate the impact of postoperative pulmonary complications on postoperative morbidity after hepatectomy.

Method: We used a prospective database in identifying all hepatectomies from 2013 to 2018.

Objectives: Select patients with anatomically favorable walled off pancreatic necrosis may be treated by endoscopic (Endo-TGD) or operative (OR-TGD) transgastric debridement (TGD). We compared our experience with these 2 approaches.
