Background: Molecular testing can reduce the need for diagnostic thyroidectomy in cytologically indeterminate thyroid nodules. However, the health-related quality of life in patients managed with molecular testing is not well studied.

Objective: The objective of this scoping review was to identify and analyze the health-related quality of life outcomes in patients with indeterminate thyroid nodules who are expected to undergo or have undergone surgery or molecular testing.

Background: The intersection of the COVID-19 pandemic with systemic anti-Black racism in the form of police violence and the subsequent Black Lives Matter movement has created an especially critical juncture to examine the mental health of Black youth.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the intersecting impacts of anti-Black racism and the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of Black youth.

Methods: A youth-engaged research approach and intersectionality framework were utilized.

Incidence and risk factors for anxiety disorders in young adults: A population-based prospective cohort study.

Anxiety disorders are among the most common psychiatric disorders in the general population. Our objective was to describe the cumulative incidence and risk factors of anxiety disorders, including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), in a follow-up of young adults over a five-year period. This is a prospective cohort conducted in two waves.

Detecting substance use as a predictor of bipolar disorder (BD) is important for clinicians to perform accurate and early diagnosis, as well as better manage the treatment of individuals with BD. The aim of this systematic review was to describe whether substance use is a predictor of BD. A literature search was conducted using the following databases: PubMed, PsycINFO, and Embase.

Culture-Negative Endophthalmitis Following Implantation of a Phakic Implantable Collamer Lens.

Purpose: This work describes a case of (formerly ) endophthalmitis following a posterior-chamber, phakic, Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) surgery.

Methods: A 34-year-old previously healthy woman presented with chronic unilateral iritis 8 months after bilateral ICL surgery. Original testing revealed no cause for the iritis with normal culture, serology, and autoimmune testing results.
