Facilitators and challenges in the adoption of a virtual nurse visit in the home health setting.

The COVID-19 pandemic created an opportunity to incorporate nurse-led virtual home care visits into heart failure patients' plan of care. As a supplemental nurse visit to traditional in-person home visits, the Virtual Nurse Visit (VNV) service was deployed using Zoom teleconferencing technology enabling telehealth nurses to remotely communicate, assess, and educate their patients. This mixed methods study explored heart failure patients' abilities, experience, and satisfaction to use and adopt a virtual nurse visit.

Stimulation Pattern Efficiency in Percutaneous Auricular Vagus Nerve Stimulation: Experimental Versus Numerical Data.

Objective: Percutaneous electrical stimulation of the auricular vagus nerve (pVNS) is an electroceutical technology. The selection of stimulation patterns is empirical, which may lead to under-stimulation or over-stimulation. The objective is to assess the efficiency of different stimulation patterns with respect to individual perception and to compare it with numerical data based on in-silico ear models.

Fast piezoelectric valve offering controlled gas injection in magnetically confined fusion plasmas for diagnostic and fuelling purposes.

In magnetically confined fusion plasmas controlled gas injection is crucial for plasma fuelling as well as for various diagnostic applications such as active spectroscopy. We present a new, versatile system for the injection of collimated thermal gas beams into a vacuum chamber. This system consists of a gas pressure chamber, sealed by a custom made piezo valve towards a small capillary for gas injection.

[Housing Project 'Living Independently with Intensive Support (WmI)': The View of Foundation and Staff].

The Fürst Donnersmarck-Foundation (FDSt) initiated the housing projekt 'Living Independently with Intensive Support (WmI)' to show that such a concept is feasible even with persons with severe multiple handicaps. It is reported how financial, organisational and communicative problems can be solved. Overall, the housing project is not much more expensive than inpatient concepts, but a change of traditional concepts of administration was required.
