Speech is produced by a nonlinear, dynamical Vocal Tract (VT) system, and is transmitted through multiple (air, bone and skin conduction) modes, as captured by the air, bone and throat microphones respectively. Speaker specific characteristics that capture this nonlinearity are rarely used as stand-alone features for speaker modeling, and at best have been used in tandem with well known linear spectral features to produce tangible results. This paper proposes Recurrent Plot (RP) embeddings as stand-alone, non-linear speaker-discriminating features.

Carbon sequestration potential of four seagrass species Halophila ovalis, Halodule pinifolia, Syringodium isoetifolium and Halodule uninervis in Pulicat Lake, Andhra Pradesh, India was assessed. The mean seagrass biomass within the seagrass beds in the lake ranged from 1.

Their sensitivities to pollutants can be reflected by changes in assemblage, which can provide useful information about ecosystem health. This study aimed to investigate the impact of organic and inorganic pollutants on the benthic ecology of the Chennai coast, with a focus on the 2017 oil spill caused by the collision of two ships.

This study aimed to determine the abundance and distribution of MPs in beach sediments (12 beaches), marine biota (6 beaches) and the influence of microbes on MPs degradation in eco-sensitive Palk Bay and Gulf of Mannar coast. The mean MP abundance 65.

Introduction: Cervical ectopic pregnancy (CEP) is characterised by the implantation of trophoblastic tissue within the cervical canal and is associated with a significant risk of maternal morbidity and mortality. This case report addresses a second-trimester CEP with unusual sonographic features suspicious of placenta accreta spectrum (PAS), which was successfully managed with an abdominal hysterectomy.
Case Presentation: A 27-year-old woman, G6P2, presented to the labour ward of a rural hospital at 18 weeks of gestation with premature rupture of membranes.
