Background: Neuroblastoma is the most common extracranial solid tumor in children, with about half of cases classified as high risk. Treatment varies by risk level, with high-risk patients undergoing aggressive multimodal therapy. While long-term survival has improved, survivors face significant risks of late treatment effects, including adrenal insufficiency.

While there is ongoing human soil-transmitted helminths (STH) surveillance in Mississippi and Alabama, very little attention has been paid to potentially zoonotic STH from dogs in this region. We microscopically examined faecal samples collected from 252 shelter dogs in Mississippi using the formalin-ethyl acetate sedimentation method.

Our hypothesis that individuals with logopenic variant of primary progressive aphasia would exhibit semantic control impairments was motivated by the anatomical overlap between the temporoparietal atrophy typically associated with logopenic variant of primary progressive aphasia and lesions associated with post-stroke semantic aphasia and Wernicke's aphasia, which cause heteromodal semantic control impairments. We addressed the presence, type (semantic representation and semantic control; verbal and non-verbal), and progression of semantic deficits in logopenic variant of primary progressive aphasia.

This study aimed to identify genes associated with polycystic kidney disease (PKD) in patients with sporadic cystic kidney disease in which a clear genetic change was not identified in established genes.
Methods: A next-generation sequencing panel analyzed known genes related to kidney cysts in 118 sporadic cases, followed by whole-genome sequencing (WGS) on 47 unrelated individuals without identified candidate variants.
Purpose: Long-term psychological effects may occur after childhood dog bite injuries. We performed a national survey to assess psychosocial interventions for children presenting with dog bite injuries to pediatric trauma centers.
Methods: A 26-question, online survey was administered to Pediatric Trauma Program Managers in the United States ( = 83).
