Expression of CD2, CD25 and/or CD30 in extracutaneous mast cells (MC) is a minor diagnostic criterion for systemic mastocytosis (SM) in the classification of the World Health Organization and International Consensus Classification. So far, it remains unknown whether expression of these antigens on MC is of prognostic significance in SM. We performed a retrospective multi-center study of patients with SM using the data set of the registry of the European Competence Network on Mastocytosis, including 5034 patients with various MC disorders.

Active vaccine safety surveillance in low- and middle-income countries: Challenges for vaccine manufacturers from emerging countries.

Developing Countries Vaccine Manufacturers Network (DCVMN) is an alliance of vaccine developers, manufacturers, and marketing authorization holders (MAHs) from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) that plays a vital role in ensuring equitable, inclusive, accountable, and timely access to affordable, high-quality vaccines in these countries. Besides research and development, this network promotes manufacturing and global supply chains for effective strengthening of regulatory and pharmacovigilance activities. Traditionally, vaccine safety surveillance systems in LMICs rely on spontaneous reporting.

The ambiguous role of partially protected marine protected areas in Australia: Results from a systematic literature review.

Marine protected areas (MPAs) are an important tool in helping to protect biodiversity in the oceans. Recent ratification of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) has ensured that globally we are committed to effectively protecting 30% of the world's oceans by 2030, in MPAs. In Australia there is considerable interest in the potential benefits that partially protected areas (PPAs) may provide.

Effect of acetate- and lactate-containing intravenous fluid on acid-base status, electrolytes and plasma lactate concentration in dehydrated cats.

Objectives: Acetate (ACE) and lactate (LAC)-containing balanced resuscitation fluids are commonly used for fluid therapy in cats. These fluids can influence acid-base and electrolyte status. This prospective randomised study compared two balanced crystalloid solutions regarding their effect on acid-base status, electrolytes and LAC concentrations in dehydrated cats after intravenous fluid therapy.

Unlocking the language: Key features of emotions.

Various scientific works indicate different features of emotions as criterial attributes. The aim of this article is to identify the key features of emotions by drawing from various theoretical approaches and utilizing language to identify as many states as possible that meet these criteria. The snowball procedure was used in the research.
