Development of a Situation-Specific Theory for the Transition of Survivors of Stroke With Dysphagia.

The process by which stroke survivors move toward health while facing various difficulties can be construed as a "transition." Importantly, nurses need to understand and support this state of transition effectively. This study developed a situation-specific theory to explain post-stroke transition by integrating the findings of a qualitative study that explored the rehabilitation experiences of stroke survivors with dysphagia with a scoping review of qualitative studies using the theoretical framework of transition theory.

Factors and Challenges in Increasing the Utilization Rate of a New Long-term Care Service (Kantaki) in a Superaging Society: Cross-sectional Study.

Background: Japan is a superaging society unparalleled in the world. Elderly people who need medical care do not receive adequate support in the community. As a new service to address this issue, a small-scale multifunctional in-home care nursing service called Kantaki was created in 2012.

Structural variation of Tn10 that carries tetB found in fish farm bacteria.

Three variants of the composite transposon Tn10 were extracted from transferable plasmids of fish farm bacteria. These variants were identical in insertions with IS10, but differed in another class I transposon insertion and a region of homologous recombination downstream of tetB.

Side effects of triazolam in children.

Purpose: This study examined the incidence of side effects occurring with three doses of orally administered triazolam in children undergoing restorative dental procedures.

Methods: Thirty children, aged 39-81 months, participated in the study. The children were pretested for gait ataxia, amnesia, visual acuity, stereoscopic depth perception, and diplopia during a screening session.
