Background: There is a concern that job dissatisfaction among health extension workers (HEWs) reduces the benefit of investment in the execution of health extension programs. Hence, the purpose of this study was to explore the level of job satisfaction and factors affecting it among the HEWs in the West Hararghe Zone, Oromia Regional State, eastern Ethiopia.
Method: An institutional-based cross-sectional study was conducted among 416 randomly selected health extension workers from 20 September 2020 to 20 October 2020.
