Purpose: To analyze the prevalence of residual subfoveal fluid (RSF) after pars plana vitrectomy in patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy complicated by tractional detachment of the macula and the effect of RSF on the postoperative visual outcome.
Methods: This study was a prospective observational case study of the optical coherence tomography (OCT) records of 23 patients (24 eyes) with macula-off diabetic tractional retinal detachment (TRD) who underwent successful 23-gauge pars plana vitrectomy between July 2012 and December 2015.
Results: The prevalence of RSF on OCT examination was 100% at 1 and 2 months, 91.
Aim: To substantiate and to prove the advantages of the new method of gastroplasty in comparison with traditional loop reconstruction of digestive tract after gastrectomy.
Material And Methods: It was performed prospective comparative study of surgical treatment of 431 patients with gastric cancer who underwent gastrectomy with different variants of digestive tract reconstruction. The main group (146 patients) consisted of patients in whom original technique including establishment of food reservoir in initial jejunal part during reconstruction was applied.
Decellularization of livers is a well-established procedure. Data on different reseeding techniques or the functional evolution and reorganization processes of repopulated grafts remains limited. A proprietary, customized bioreactor was established to repopulate decellularized rat livers (n = 21) with primary rat hepatocytes (150 × 10 cells) via the hepatic artery and to subsequently evaluate graft morphology and function during 7 days of ex vivo perfusion.

This appears to be the first report on rat liver decellularization by perfusion under oscillating pressure conditions, intending to optimize microperfusion and minimize damage to the ECM. Four decellularization protocols were compared: perfusion via the portal vein (PV) or the hepatic artery (HA), with (+P) or without (-P) oscillating pressure conditions.

The aim of research is to study of the spirometry figures of bronchoobstructive syndrome in concomitant intestinal parasitosis. There are 81 patients aged from 5 to 61 years (male 43, female 38) were examined. The patients were divided into 2 groups: 1 group - patients treated only with bronchodilator therapy (14 patients with protozoa, 14 - with helminth, 12 - with combination of parasitosis); 2 group - patients treated with bronchodilator therapy in common with anti-parasitic therapy (14 patients with protozoa, 17 - with helminth, 10 - with combination of parasitosis).
