Purpose: Magnesium is vital to maintain normal physiological functions. We aimed to identify the association between serum magnesium and different measures of body adiposity among Qatari adults. We hypothesized that the association was mediated by depression and sleep duration.

Spectrum of autoimmune bullous diseases in Kuwait.

Background: Autoimmune bullous diseases (ABDs) are a rare but significant group of dermatoses that pose great challenges to the treating dermatologist. Most epidemiological studies have focused on a single ABD. Few surveys have been carried out to describe the whole spectrum of ABDs in a region, and no such studies are available from the Arabian Peninsula.

Clinicopathological features and HLA tissue typing in pemphigoid gestationis patients in Kuwait.

Pemphigoid gestationis (PG) is a rare autoimmune disease of pregnancy. We report a series of 22 cases of PG in Kuwait. They constituted 18% of all the autoimmune bullous diseases registered in our centre over a span of 11 years.
