Multimodality imaging of a rare intracardiac bronchogenic cyst.

The authors report a case of pathologically proven intracardiac bronchogenic cyst embedded within the interatrial septum of a 30-year-old woman presenting with chest pain and first-degree AV block. Multimodality imaging played an essential role in the discovery, investigation, and diagnosis of this extremely rare entity.

Corneal Haze Secondary to Corneal Collagen Cross-linking in Keratoconus Patients: Treatment and Outcomes.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the outcome of patients presenting with mild-to-moderate corneal haze after undergoing corneal collagen cross-linking (CXL) for keratoconus (KCN) and their response to a proposed standardized topical steroid-based treatment.

Methods: This study included 19 eyes of 14 patients presenting with corneal haze after undergoing CXL for KCN. Corrected distance visual acuity, corneal thickness and Kmax values by Pentacam Scheimpflug tomography, as well as subjective corneal haze changes were evaluated before and after a topical steroid- and cyclosporine-based treatment.

Optimizing interventional cardiology services.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a common and prominent cause of morbidity and mortality interventional cardiology (IC) remains an important noninvasive intervention to improve patient outcomes and life expectancy. The study objectives were to explore how IC services could be optimized. We adopted multiple methods, including policy analysis, literature review and interviews.

Rare case of bilateral bronchopulmonary sequestration.

Pulmonary sequestration is a rare congenital bronchopulmonary malformation with an estimated incidence of less than 6%. It is described as the abnormal formation of nonfunctional lung tissue that receives its blood supply from systemic circulation rather than the bronchial tree. Most are unilateral, while a miniscule proportion is bilateral.
