Genetic testing for breast cancer susceptibility genes (BRCA1/2) plays a pivotal role in risk assessment and preventive interventions. However, individuals' awareness, knowledge, and attitudes toward genetic testing can vary across different societies. This study focuses on understanding Turkish women's knowledge, perceptions, and attitudes toward BRCA1/2 testing, considering demographic factors and awareness.

Impacts of Chlorine 1-3 ıon channels on localized bladder neoplasms.

Bladder tumors occur more frequently in men than in women and are the fourth most common malignancy after prostate, lung, and colon cancers. In this study, we examined the expression of chlorine ion channel 1 and chlorine ion channel 3 in localized bladder tumors according to their stage. We conducted a retrospective analysis of a prospective cohort study spanning from May 2018 to January 2020.

Pathogenic/Likely Pathogenic Variant Patients with Breast, Ovarian, and Other Cancers.

The demographic and clinical characteristics of patients who have pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants may differ from their relatives who had related cancer. In this study, we aimed to demonstrate the clinical and demographic findings of patients who had -related cancer and to assess the differences comparing their relatives who had -related cancer with breast, genital tract, prostate, and pancreas cancers as well. The results of sequencing analysis of 200 cancer patients (190 women, 10 men) who have been directed to genetic counseling with an indication of testing from different regions across 9 medical oncology centers were retrospectively analyzed.

Effect of acupuncture therapy on fracture healing in rats with femur fractures.

Objective: To investigate the effect of acupuncture therapy on fracture healing in rats with femur fractures.

Methods: A total of 10 groups were formed; control group, groups sacrificed on 7th, 14th, and 21st days of fracture formation, groups to which acupuncture was applied for 7, 14, and 21 d, groups to which fracture and acupuncture were applied for 7, 14, and 21 d. A transverse fracture line was formed in femurs of rats by using a Gigli saw.
