Objective: To investigate which breathing systems are available and why they are selected in dogs weighing 5-10 kg.

Study Design: Anonymous online voluntary open survey.

Methods: An online survey, designed following CHERRIES guidelines, was advertised through the American College of Veterinary Anesthesiologists - List, Association of Veterinary Anaesthesia and European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (February-March 2022).

Developing a systems-focused tool for modeling lung cancer screening resource needs.

Background: Early detection through screening dramatically improves lung cancer survival rates, including among war Veterans, who are at heightened risk. The effectiveness of low dose computed tomography scans in lung cancer screening (LCS) prompted the Veteran's Affairs Lung Precision Oncology Program (VA LPOP) to increase screening rates. We aimed to develop an adaptive population health tool to determine adequate resource allocation for the program, with a specific focus on primary care providers, nurse navigators, and radiologists.

Continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion for Type 1 diabetes relies upon insulin infusion sets (IIS) to reliably deliver insulin to a subcutaneous depot, where it is absorbed into systemic circulation. However, IIS are plagued by short wear times and high failure rates, due in part to inconsistent insulin absorption that can arise over time. While emerging evidence suggests that the local inflammatory response to the IIS cannula may impact both wear times and unreliable insulin adsorption, the mechanisms are poorly understood.

Antinociceptive Effects of 2/3-Subtype-Selective GABA Receptor Positive Allosteric Modulators KRM-II-81 and NS16085 in Male Rats: Behavioral Specificity.

Recent studies suggest that among the gamma-aminobutyric acid type A (GABA)receptor subtype heterogeneity, 2/3 subunits of GABA receptors mediate pain processing. Therefore, 2/3 subtype-selective GABA receptor-positive allosteric modulators (PAMs) may be candidate analgesics. Antinociceptive effects of 2/3 subtype-selective GABA receptor PAMs have been reported, but the behavioral effects of these compounds have not been systematically evaluated.
