Background: Stroke often affects recognition and interpretation of information from our senses, resulting in perceptual disorders. Evidence to inform treatment is unclear.

Objective: To determine the breadth and effectiveness of interventions for stroke-related perceptual disorders and identify priority research questions.

Thiazide Discontinuation in Chronic Kidney Disease Hypertension Management: A Retrospective Chart Review.

Introduction: Thiazides are utilized in general hypertension management, however, their role in chronic kidney disease (CKD) hypertension management remains unclear. Although data support thiazide efficacy in advanced CKD, the adverse effect profile (including estimated glomerular filtration rate [eGFR] decline and electrolyte abnormalities) may lead to thiazide discontinuation. The authors assessed the thiazide discontinuation rate in Kaiser Permanente Southern California members with moderate-to-severe CKD and hypertension.

Logistics and Interdisciplinary Expertise of a Sexual Assault Response Team: A Case Study Through Observations and Interviews.

To more effectively respond to sexual assault in the United States, some jurisdictions have created sexual assault response teams (SARTs). SARTs involve members of multiple agencies tasked with responding to sexual assault within a jurisdiction, such as law enforcement, advocates, prosecutors, and sexual assault nurse examiners (SANEs). Despite hundreds of jurisdictions utilizing SARTs, and the Department of Justice establishing guidelines, SARTs vary across jurisdictions in their form and function.

Operationalizing the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research to build and support the lived experience workforce in direct health service provision.

Background: The involvement of people with lived experience (LEX) workers in the development, design, and delivery of integrated health services seeks to improve service user engagement and health outcomes and reduce healthcare gaps. Yet, LEX workers report feeling undervalued and having limited influence on service delivery. There is a need for systematic improvements in how LEX workforces are engaged and supported to ensure the LEX workforce can fully contribute to integrated systems of care.
