In a case of monoamniotic twinning, amniography was used to confirm the diagnosis. This modality, old but now employed infrequently, helps establish the absence of a dividing membrane and complements currently used ultrasound diagnostic methods. A successful outcome resulted.

This diagnosis was confirmed at the time of cesarean delivery. We offer a literature review of vasa previa and make recommendations for using ultrasonography to diagnose vasa previa.
