We have read with great interest the paper published by the Journal of Anatomy [244(5), 2024, 861-872] on Is human height based on a Lucas sequence relationship between the foot height, tibial length, femur length and upper body length? by Paley et al. The authors show that foot height, tibial length, femur length and upper body length follow a generalized Lucas sequence. Our letter demonstrates that their result is indeed stronger, as their data follow the original, homogeneous Lucas sequence.

The Social Return on Investment in programs designed for young people living with a family member who experiences mental health challenges: study protocol.

The purpose of this paper is to describe the protocol for the evaluation of programs offered by the Satellite Foundation, designed for, and with, children and young people aged between 8 and 25 years who have family members experiencing mental health challenges. To achieve this, the Social Return on Investment (SROI) method was chosen. SROI is an economic measurement tool used to apply a monetary value to socially situated outcomes.

A Scale-Out Study of an Evidence-Based Family Meals Program Delivered in the Head Start Setting: Results, Challenges, and Opportunities.

There is need to identify evidence-based early childhood obesity prevention programs that are feasible and demonstrate cost-effectiveness for a broader health impact. This scale-out study leveraged community-engaged principles to compare the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of three delivery modes of a childhood obesity prevention family meals program (Simple Suppers) that demonstrated positive impacts on child and caregiver diet/nutritional health-related outcomes in a previous experimental trial tested among elementary-aged children. This three-arm (in-person, online, hybrid) pre-(T0) and post-(T1)-test study included families recruited from Head Start.

Orally dissolving pilocarpine tablets for xerostomia in advanced cancer: A pilot N-of-1 feasibility study.

Background: Xerostomia is a common and difficult symptom experienced by patients with cancer. Pilocarpine is a cholinergic agent that stimulates salivation.

Aim: To assess the feasibility of conducting a N-of-1 trial to determine the efficacy of pilocarpine orally dissolving tablets in patients with xerostomia.
