HLA class-I polymorphisms among the Punjabi population of Pakistan: A comparative analysis with country's other ethnic groups.

The Punjabi population, constituting over 45 % of the country's total population, holds the highest prevalence in Pakistan. To understand their HLA genetics, we genotyped 389 Punjabi subjects for major Class-I loci using the PCR-SSO Luminex® method. Our study identified a total of 162 alleles, including 41 different HLA-A, 72 HLA-B, and 49 HLA-C alleles.

Microleakage in endodontics.

A three-dimensional obturation and complete coronal and apical seal is one the important aims of root canal treatment. Since microorganisms may remain in the root canal system after instrumentation, a tight apical seal is desired to prevent bacteria and their by-products from invading the apex. A perfect apical seal is also desired to prevent apical percolation.

Antibiogram pattern of oral microflora in periodontic children of age group 6 to 12 years: a clinicomicrobiological study.

Aim: The study was carried out to see the diversity of oral microflora and its antibiotic sensitivity test in children of age group 6 to 12 years was carried.

Materials And Methods: Total 50 patients of age group 6 to 12 years were analyzed for their oral microflora and then checked for the antibiotic susceptibility test. The samples that were collected were incubated at 37°C for 48 hours.
