Background: Domestic violence against women is a worldwide phenomenon and a major public health concern. The adverse effects on the physical and mental health of the women survivors of domestic violence are influenced by various psychosocial factors. This study aimed to understand psychological distress, perceived social support, and coping strategies among women survivors of domestic violence and its implications.

Development and Characterization of Bioinspired Lipid Raft Nanovesicles for Therapeutic Applications.

Lipid rafts are highly ordered regions of the plasma membrane enriched in signaling proteins and lipids. Their biological potential is realized in exosomes, a subclass of extracellular vesicles (EVs) that originate from the lipid raft domains. Previous studies have shown that EVs derived from human placental mesenchymal stromal cells (PMSCs) possess strong neuroprotective and angiogenic properties.

Proliferative fasciitis of the chin: A report of the rare case and review of literature.

Proliferative fasciitis is a pseudo-sarcomatous myofibroblastic proliferation characterized by the presence of unusual giant cells resembling ganglion cells, which usually occurs in the adult population with a mean age of 54 years. It usually affects the upper extremities and is rare in head and neck region with only 11 cases described in the literature so far. Because of rapid growth and histological similarity to various malignant tumors such as rhabdomyosarcoma, recognition of this benign condition is a matter of utmost importance when a pathologist is concerned.

An unusual presentation of ghost cell odontogenic carcinoma: A case report with review of literature.

Ghost cell odontogenic carcinoma (GCOC) is a malignant odontogenic epithelial tumor which is an exceedingly rare, highly aggressive, rapidly growing, and infiltrative tumor forming the malignant counterpart of long-standing benign cystic lesions coming in the spectrum of calcifying odontogenic cysts. To date, only a few cases have been reported in the medical literature. A case of unusual presentation of GCOC is presented and the clinical, histopathological, and immunohistochemical features are discussed along with a literature review.

Risk Factors Affecting the Prognosis in Patients with Pulmonary Contusion Following Chest Trauma.

Introduction: Thoracic injury and its complications are responsible for as much as 25% for blunt trauma mortality. Pulmonary contusion occurs in 30%-75% of these cases. Despite advances in pulmonary care and intensive care management pulmonary contusion still contributes to higher mortality and morbidity for patients with severe injuries.

Efficient use of shrimp waste: present and future trends.

The production of shrimp waste from shrimp processing industries has undergone a dramatic increase in recent years. Continued production of this biomaterial without corresponding development of utilizing technology has resulted in waste collection, disposal, and pollution problems. Currently used chemical process releases toxic chemicals such as HCl, acetic acid, and NaOH into aquatic ecosystem as byproducts which will spoil the aquatic flora and fauna.
