Increasing use of chemical dispersants for oil spills highlights the need to understand their adverse effects on marine microalgae and nutrient assimilation because the toxic components of crude oil can be more bioavailable. We employed the crude oil water-accommodated fraction (WAF) and chemically enhanced WAF (CEWAF) to compare different responses in marine microalgae (Phaeodactylum tricornutum) coupled with stable isotopic signatures. With the growing problem of eutrophication in the Bohai Sea, actions have been taken to reduce nutrient inputs, but it remains to be seen whether nutrient levels and structure have been ameliorated. In this study, the nutrient trends in the Bohai Sea are re-examined based on observations from 2000 to 2019. The results suggest that dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN) concentrations and DIN/DIP (dissolved inorganic phosphate) ratios gradually increased from 2000 to 2013 but dramatically decreased from 2013 to 2019.

A supply chain's risk spillover effect will affect the customer's risk on the financing constraints of suppliers. This paper builds on the evaluation of customer risk by fuzzy mathematics, combines with the A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2007 to 2019 as a study sample, and empirically inspects the influence of customer risk on the level of corporate financing constraints. Modified potato starch with slower digestion may aid the development of new starch derivatives with improved nutritional values, and strategies to increase nutritional fractions such as resistant starch (RS) are desired. In this study, a correspondence between starch structure and enzymatic resistance was provided based on the efficient branching enzyme AqGBE, and modified starches with different amylose content (Control, 100%; PS1, 90%; PS2, 72%; PS3, 32%; PS4, 18%) were prepared. Through SEM observation, NMR and X-ray diffraction analyses, we identified that an increased proportion of α-1,6-linked branches in potato starch changes its state of granule into large pieces with crystallinity.

Total phenolics, flavonoids, and polysaccharides, and individual ganoderic acid (GA) contents, antioxidant capacity, and transcription levels of key enzyme genes involved in GA biosynthesis in pileus and stipes of Ganoderma lucidum fruiting body at different growth stages were investigated in this study. Results showed that the highest total phenolics and total flavonoids contents were determined in stipes at spore maturity stage, resulting in high antioxidant activity, while the highest total polysaccharide content was found in pileus at the same stage. The pileus contained more GA than the stipes, and higher contents of ganoderic acid A and D were found at fruiting body mature stage while that of ganoderic acid B, C2, and G were found at bud elongation stage.

Although oil and gas explorations contribute to atmospheric methane (CH) emissions, their impact and influence along the shelf seas of China remain poorly understood.
