Prevalence of Tumours and Tumour-like Lesions in Domestic and Exotic Animals from Lower Silesia and its Surrounds in Poland in 2014-2017.

Introduction: An analysis of samples originating from domestic and exotic animals from Lower Silesia but also from other parts of Poland was carried out based on research conducted in 2014-2017.

Material And Methods: The materials used for the study were 11,338 tumour samples taken during surgery and as biopsies and posthumously during necropsies. They were sent to the Department of Pathology at Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences for histopathological diagnosis.

Biomechanical-Structural Correlation of in Animal Models: A Pilot Study.

The mitral valve apparatus is a complex structure consisting of the mitral ring, valve leaflets, papillary muscles and (CT). The latter are mainly responsible for the mechanical functions of the valve. Our study included investigations of the biomechanical and structural properties of CT collected from canine and porcine hearts, as there are no studies about these properties of canine CT.
