Prognostic evaluation of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer with P-CRP and its nomogram.

Purpose: To investigate the impact of the product of preoperative platelet count and C-reactive protein (P-CRP) on the postoperative prognosis of patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC), and to construct a Nomogram to predict the recurrence-free survival (RFS) of NMIBC patients based on pathological data.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 164 NMIBC patients who underwent transurethral resection of bladder tumors (TURBT) at the Second Affiliated Hospital of University of South China from January 2013 to December 2019. The endpoint of the study was the RFS.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is one of the major diseases leading to mortality and disability, causing a serious disease burden on individuals' ordinary lives as well as socioeconomics. In primary injury, neuroimmune and neuroinflammation are both responsible for the TBI. Besides, extensive and sustained injury induced by neuroimmune and neuroinflammation also prolongs the course and worsens prognosis of TBI.

Objective: Analyzing the association between sociodemographic status and the type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)-related risks in China to reduce the disease burden of T2DM.

Methods: We downloaded data from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019 to estimate the disease burden of T2DM in China. Secondary analyses were performed by year, age, gender, summary exposure value (SEV), and sociodemographic index (SDI).

Methods: We extracted the data of EMBID-related on death cases, Age-standardized death rates (ASDRs), disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs), Age-standardized DALY rates, years of life lost (YLLs), Age-standardized YLL rates, years lived with disability (YLDs) and Age-standardized YLD rates between 1990 and 2019 from the Global Burden of Disease 2019, by sex, age, and year at the global and geographical region levels.

Small peptide LINC00511-133aa encoded by LINC00511 regulates breast cancer cell invasion and stemness through the Wnt/β-catenin pathway.

LINC00511 is an long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) of ncRNAs,This study aimed to investigate whether the lncRNA LINC00511 could encode a small peptide, LINC00511-133aa, and whether this peptide could promote breast cancer cell metastasis and stemness by activating the wnt/β-catenin pathway. The LINC00511-133aa coding sequence vector and control vector were transfected into MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells, with subsequent assessment of peptide expression using PCR, western blotting, and immunofluorescence assays. Cell proliferation, invasion, and apoptosis were evaluated using CCK8, apoptotic, wound healing, and transwell invasion assays, while the characteristic changes of tumor stem cells were detected through sphere-forming assay and western blot analyses of the stemness markers Oct4, Nanog, and SOX2.

Methods: We collected detailed information and performed a secondary analysis for LBMD and its related fractures from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019.

Background: Dietary risks have raised attention worldwide during recent decades. The present burden-of-disease study aimed to evaluate the global dietary risks for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) from 1990 to 2019 and quantify their impact on mortality and disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs). Data from the 2019 Global Burden of Disease Study on deaths and DALYs from NCDs attributable to worldwide dietary risks were obtained and underwent deep analysis by year, age, gender, location, leading risks and leading causes, and their associations were examined.
