Introduction: The controversy of antidepressant use in bipolar depression remains controversial. Agomelatine (AGO) is an effective antidepressant in major depressive disorder (MDD), but its application in bipolar depression was little discussed. We aimed to provide a comprehensive systematic review of clinical evidence from studies examining the efficacy and safety of AGO for bipolar depression.

The diagnostic value of these two indices in identifying abnormalities in the degree of cerebral perfusion heterogeneity was also explored.
Methods: In this study, Transcranial Doppler (TCD) was used as a control, and unilateral carotid artery was compressed to change the degree of heterogeneity of cerebral perfusion in 15 healthy volunteers.
Accurate human cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) dielectric parameters are critical for biological electromagnetic applications such as the electromagnetic field modelling of the human brain, the localization and intensity assessment of electrical generators in the brain, and electromagnetic protection. To detect brain damage signals during temperature changes by electrical impedance tomography (EIT), the change in CSF dielectric parameters with frequency (10 Hz-100 MHz) and temperature (17-39 °C) was investigated. A Debye model was first established to capture the complex impedance frequency and temperature characteristics.

However, the poor cytosolic delivery of pIC and lack of facile methods for codelivery with antigens limit its efficacy. Inspired by the structure of a virus, we developed a ipoanoel (LNG) consisting of a nanogel core and lipid shell to address these challenges.

In the present study, ionic chiral covalent organic frameworks (iCCOFs) consisting of the pyridinium unit as the ECL-active species were prepared by a facile strategy. We were amazed that such iCCOFs could display strong cathodic ECL responses.

Nanopore sequencing holds the promise to overcome the efficiency problem, but high indel error rates lead to the requirement of large amount of high quality data for accurate readout. Here we introduce Composite Hedges Nanopores, capable of handling indel rates up to 15.

Hollow polymer microspheres (HPMs) were synthesized, which were then hydrolyzed in aqueous ammonia to produce carboxyl (-COOH) groups on their surface. L-phenylalanine (L-Phe) was grafted to the hydrolyzed HPMs (H-HPMs) through amidation reactions, endowing the H-HPMs with chirality. The resultant chiral HPMs (C-HPMs) were used for the chiral discrimination of tryptophan (Trp) isomers.

However, STING agonists are mostly small hydrophilic molecules that suffer from rapid clearance and poor cytosolic delivery following systemic administration. While various nanoparticles have been developed to promote cytosolic delivery, they often exhibit premature drug release during circulation.

However, its low photocatalytic efficiency limits the application of this technology in real world scenarios. In this study, a two-dimensional AlN/PSi-GaS-I van der Waals heterojunction is constructed and the properties of water photolysis are studied based on first-principles calculations.

Here, two ionic COFs (iCOFs) consisting of the anthryl-extended viologen as the backbone were designed and synthesized via the Zincke reaction. It is found for the first time that the as-prepared iCOFs accompanied by potassium persulfate as the coreactant can provide a clear ECL response in a water-bearing medium.

Here, we have developed a designer liposomal nanovaccine containing a sonosensitizer (LNVS) to efficiently program T cell immunity in mice. Following intravenous injection, LNVS accumulates in the spleen in a protein corona and fluidity-dependent manner, leading to greater frequencies of antigen-specific CD8α T cells than soluble vaccines (the mixture of antigens and adjuvants).

Based on the modified cross-linking of the degradable natural polymers chitosan oligosaccharides (COS) and gelatin (GEL) via introduction of a functional bridge 3,3'-dithiodipropionic acid, this study constructed an environmentally responsive dinotefuran (DNF) delivery system (DNF@COS-SS-GEL). The introduction of the disulfide bond (-S-S-) endowed DNF@COS-SS-GEL with redox-responsive properties, allowing for the rapid release of pesticides when stimulated by glutathione (GSH) in the simulated insect. Compared with commercial DNF suspension concentrate (DNF-SC), DNF@COS-SS-GEL showed superior wet spreading and retention performance on cabbage leaves with a reduced contact angle (57°) at 180 s and 4-fold increased retention capacity after rainfall washout.

This study aims to investigate the effects of (PBd) derived from Ningxiang pigs on growth performance, intestinal apoptosis, oxidative damage, and inflammation in ETEC-challenged weaned piglets. A total of 22 Duroc × Landrace × Yorkshire (DLY) piglets, 24 days old with similar body weights, were randomly divided into three groups: Control ( = 7), ETEC ( = 7), and PBd + ETEC ( = 8).

Acquired resistance to EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs) represents a primary cause of treatment failure in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 2 (CCL2) is recently found to play a pivotal role in determining anti-cancer treatment response. However, the role and mechanism of CCL2 in the development of EGFR-TKIs resistance have not been fully elucidated.

Failure of articular cartilage lubrication and inflammation are the main causes of osteoarthritis (OA), and integrated treatment realizing joint lubrication and anti-inflammation is becoming the most effective treat model. Inspired by low friction of human synovial fluid and adhesive chemical effect of mussels, our work reports a biomimetic lubricating system that realizes long-time lubrication, photothermal responsiveness and anti-inflammation property. To build the system, a dopamine-mediated strategy is developed to controllably graft hyaluronic acid on the surface of metal organic framework.

Chiral analysis with simple devices is of great importance for analytical chemistry. Based on the photothermal (PT) effect, a simple chiral sensor with a portable laser device as the light source and a thermometer as the detection tool was developed for the chiral recognition of tryptophan (Trp) isomers and the sensitive sensing of one isomer (L-Trp). Gold nanorods (GNRs), which have outstanding photo-thermal conversion ability due to their localized surface plasma resonance (LSPR) effect, are used as PT reagents, and biomacromolecules bovine serum albumin (BSA) are used as natural chiral sources, and thus, GNRs@BSA was obtained through Au-S bonds.
