Segmental caudal vena cava (CVC) aplasia is a rare congenital vascular anomaly in dogs. Two dogs were diagnosed by CT imaging to have right adrenal tumors with concomitant segmental CVC aplasia. During surgery, a firm connection between the right adrenal gland and CVC was observed in both cases.

An α-sialyl selenolate anion generated in situ smoothly reacted with electrophiles to give α-sialosides as single stereoisomers. A -sialoside was sequentially incorporated with selenium, producing a triseleno-sialoside.

The nanosheet possesses void host spaces that can accommodate two mol-equivalent ONE groups to form columns of ONE groups in a right-handed helical way and ONE channels over a long distance. The present molecular system therefore can provide a chiral pore channel for relatively large molecules.
