This pipeline presents a refined approach for deriving personalized neurobiological insights from iPSC-derived neurospheres. By employing Tandem Mass Tag (TMT) labeling, we optimized sample pooling and multiplexing for robust comparative analysis across experimental conditions, maximizing data yield per sample. Through single-patient-derived neurospheres-composed of neural progenitor cells, early neurons, and radial glia-this study explores proteomic profiling to mirror the cellular complexity of neurodevelopment more accurately than traditional 2D cultures.

Cell membrane-derived particles (Mp) are rounded membrane-enclosed particles that are shed from tumor cells. Mp are formed from tumor membranes and are capable of tumor targeting and immunotherapeutic agents because they share membrane homology with parental cells; thus, they are under consideration as a drug delivery vehicle. Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), a transmembrane glycoprotein with enzymatic functionality, is highly expressed in Mp and extracellular vesicles (EV) from prostate cancer (PCa) with poor clinical prognosis.

Bone marrow transplantation is a treatment for a variety of hematological and non-hematological diseases. For the transplant success, it is mandatory to have a thriving engraftment of transplanted cells, which directly depends on their homing. The present study proposes an alternative method to evaluate the homing and engraftment of hematopoietic stem cells using bioluminescence imaging and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) associated with superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles.

Background: Childhood B-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (BCP-ALL) has been associated with early-life exposures, including birth by cesarean section (C-section), and a deficit of social exposure (first child). These exposures as proxies for microbiome acquisition in infancy are essential to prime the immune system and restrain later dysregulated immune responses that can trigger ALL in susceptible individuals. We tested risk factors pertaining to immune stimulation that may impact BCP-ALL development.

Objectives: Cluster headache is considered a trigeminal autonomic cephalalgia and may present with characteristic symptoms of sympathetic/parasympathetic activation on the affected side of the face, such as nasal discharge, tearing, and conjunctival injection. Invasive therapies targeting the sphenopalatine ganglion have been performed in these headache syndromes and can have a medication-sparing effect, especially in refractory, difficult-to-manage cases. The gate control theory of pain suggests that electric pulses delivered to nerve tissues can modulate neuronal activity, thus aiding in management of nociceptive or neuropathic pain, and studies have demonstrated the efficacy and safety of sphenopalatine ganglion neurostimulation.

Studies have demonstrated students' resistance to active learning, despite evidence illustrating that their learning is improved relative to students in lectures. Specifically, while active learning and group work are effective at engaging students in their learning process, studies report that students' perceptions of active learning approaches are not always positive. What remains underexplored is whether students' perceptions of active learning improve with effective instructor facilitation and whether there exists differential perceptions between racially minoritized students and represented students.
