Menopausal symptoms may affect every aspect of women's lives. There are no studies that examine the rate of menopausal women who seek acupuncture for their complaints, particularly muscle stiffness and aches, headaches, fatigue, and depression, which are indications for acupuncture, in Japan. The aim of this preliminary study was to explore the rate of Japanese women in menopause who sought acupuncture for the treatment of their general complaints, and to what extent acupuncture reduced their menopausal symptoms.

Fluorophore 15Nap-Cl showed strong solvatochromic fluorescence, and, as the solvent polarity increased, a bathochromic shift was observed accompanied by an increase in the fluorescence quantum yield. In addition, in the presence of amines such as ethylamine, diethylamine, and aniline, further considerable bathochromic shifts in the fluorescence were observed.

These variants could be purified into three Fe-S protein components (designated as V-I, V-II, and V-III) by standard chromatography procedures. UV-vis and EPR spectroscopic analyses indicated that each of these variants accommodates a [3Fe-4S] cluster.

Here, we identify histone H1.2 as a cytochrome c-releasing factor that appears in the cytoplasm after exposure to X-ray irradiation.

Trimethylation, which causes an incremental increase in mass of 42.0470 Da from that of the corresponding MH(+) ion, cannot be distinguished from the acetylation (+42.
