Systemic inflammation is important in cancer, especially in a type called hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and this study looked at 362 patients treated with immunotherapy.* -
The study found that patients with higher levels of inflammation (measured by NLR and PLR) had shorter survival times and less successful treatment responses.* -
Results suggest that inflammation levels can predict how well HCC patients will do with immunotherapy, but more research is needed to understand why this happens.*
