In the treatment of infected wounds in bedridden or lying chair patients with mobility problems, improper wound care can lead to wound deterioration, prolong disease pain, increase treatment and care costs, and bring heavier psychological, physical, and economic burdens to patients. In the process of wound recovery, patients with mobility problems mainly face the comprehensive problems of poor air permeability, wound pressure could not be monitored, wound infection and slow healing. Therefore, in the process of wound care for such patients, it is imperative to develop a gas permeable dressing that can monitor the patient's wound compression status in real time and promote wound healing.

The traditional means for blood quality evaluation involve the use of reagents and multi-step and time-consuming operations. Here, a low-cost, multi-classification, label-free and high-precision method is developed, which combines microfluidic technology and a deep learning algorithm together to recognize and classify RBCs based on morphology.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThis study used a structural equation modeling approach to investigate the relationships among L2 writing anxiety, L2 writing self-efficacy, L2 writing self-regulated strategies and L2 writing engagement, and possible mediators that regulate the effect of individual factors. A questionnaire was administered to 340 Chinese high school students from different parts of the country. The results of the study suggested a negative relationship between L2 writing anxiety and L2 writing self-efficacy, and a direct effect of both on L2 writing engagement.

Its performance as an SPE resin was evaluated using six model compounds having different polarities. Aqueous samples containing those compounds were applied to SPE cartridges containing the aforementioned copolymer as well as the classic C18 and Oasis HLB for comparison, and the SPE processed samples were analyzed by using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for quantitation.

Objective: To study the anatomy of mandibular bone flap pedicled with temporal muscle for midfacial bone defects.
Methods: The shape and blood supply of the temporal muscle and mandibular ramus, as well as their relationship, were observed and measured in 30 sides of adult head specimens.
Results: The temporal muscle has a fan-shaped main portion, then is scattered into three bundles as anterolateral, anteromedial, posterior bundles, which end respectively at anterior border of ramus, the temporal ridge and posterior portion of coronoid process.
