Ovotransferrin (OVT) is very rich in nutritional value and possesses a variety of biological activities. However, there is a lack of suitable OVT extraction methods that are simple and suitable for large-scale production. For this reason, this study explored a new method of ovalbumin OVT extraction based on mesophilic treatment.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 66 patients with detrusor underactivity treated at Hangzhou Third People's Hospital from January 2020 to October 2024, divided into two groups (33 cases each). Both groups had confirmed detrusor underactivity via urodynamic studies.
Enriching oxygen species in perovskite catalysts provides more active sites for the catalytic oxidation of air pollutants, but its further application in environmental chemical engineering is still constrained by the inherent lack of oxygen species reactivity and the difficulty of replenishing depleted oxygen species. Herein, we present a scalable one-pot strategy for the in situ fabrication of a homogeneously distributed heterostructure, which brings LaCuO perovskite a 58-fold activity enhancement and robust antisintering/water/coke in toluene oxidation, higher than currently reported perovskite catalysts. Superior to the single "oxygen enrichment" effect of conventional surface-aggregated heterostructures, the homogeneously distributed heterostructures induce the reactivity enhancement of adsorbed oxygen and the backfilling/replenishment of depleted lattice oxygen, which break through the rate-determining steps of the low-temperature Langmuir-Hinshelwood and the high-temperature Mars-van Krevelen mechanisms, respectively.

The present study examined the effects of pre-freezing and thawing conditions on the gelation of egg yolk liquid, accessing its rheological properties, molecular structure and water mobility.
Results: The results indicated that pre-freezing at -40 °C for 7 days followed by storage at -18 °C was a cost-effective method, with the consistency coefficient being decreased by approximately 30% compared to that of egg yolk liquid frozen directly at -18 °C.

EEG signals exhibit non-stationary characteristics, particularly across different subjects, which presents significant challenges in the precise classification of mental workload levels when applying a trained model to new subjects. Domain adaptation techniques have shown effectiveness in enhancing the accuracy of cross-subject classification. However, current state-of-the-art methods for cross-subject mental workload classification primarily focus on global domain adaptation, which may lack fine-grained information and result in ambiguous classification boundaries.

The results showed that the modified egg yolk oil (EYO) mayonnaise exhibited more homogeneous and denser droplets, along with a richer golden color compared to corn oil-based mayonnaise (M-CO). Additionally, the EYO mayonnaise had higher viscosity and smaller particle size.

In this study, five ligands (L1-L5) and six Hf (Hf 1-5) and Zr (Zr-1) metal complexes with amido-quinoline-based ligands were successfully synthesized by a simple and efficient synthetic route. The new Hf (Hf 1-5) and Zr (Zr-1) complexes exhibit high thermal stability, moderate activity, and excellent 1-octene incorporation capability.

Existing emotion recognition research is typically limited to static laboratory settings and has not fully handle the changes in emotional states in dynamic scenarios. To address this problem, this paper proposes a method for dynamic continuous emotion recognition based on electroencephalography (EEG) and eye movement signals. Firstly, an experimental paradigm was designed to cover six dynamic emotion transition scenarios including happy to calm, calm to happy, sad to calm, calm to sad, nervous to calm, and calm to nervous.

Here, we propose a straightforward defect engineering approach to construct asymmetric triple-atom sites (Cu-Cu-W) on CuWO with oxygen vacancies (OVs) (named CWO-OVs). The optimized CWO-OVs achieve a photochemical synthesis rate of propionic acid (CHO, PA) of 86.

Herein, we compress [Co/MnO] octahedra through A-site Cs doping in the double perovskite (LaCoMnO), which optimizes the orbital hybridization between Co/Mn 3d and O 2p. This promotes electron transfer from O to Co/Mn while reducing Co/Mn electronegativity, resulting in a synergistic improvement of lattice oxygen reactivity and oxygen vacancy healing.

The transcription factor known as nuclear factor erythroid-2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) is an essential component of the cellular antioxidant response, purportedly contributing to the preservation of cognitive functions such as learning and memory. Nevertheless, the function and intracellular processes involving Nrf2 in PND remain largely unknown.

The total oxidation of -hexane, a hazardous volatile organic compound (VOC) emitted by the pharmaceutical industry, presents a significant environmental challenge due to limited catalyst activity at low temperatures and poor stability at high temperatures. Here, we present a novel approach that overcomes these limitations by employing single-atom Ag/MnO catalysts coupled with nonthermal plasma (NTP). This strategy achieves exceptional performance in -hexane oxidation at low temperatures, demonstrating 96.

Dual-enzyme (phospholipase A1 and protease) treatment enhanced emulsion stability by boosting protein adsorption, reducing particle size, and increasing zeta potential. For microcapsules, EF-DUAL, treated with dual-enzymes, had improved solubility, dispersibility, and wall material compactness, effectively protecting DHA from oxidation.
