Therefore, monitoring and surveillance of physical activity (PA) and relevant indicators are important for policy making pertaining to health promotion. Report Card is a third comprehensive evaluation of PA-related behaviors among and the sources of influence for South Korean children and adolescents.

It will serve as an advocacy tool to promote physical activity among children and youth.

Aim: To examine the effect of combined exercise on colonic transit time (CTT) in admitted psychiatric patients.
Methods: Over a 6-mo period, consecutive in patients with mental illness were recruited from the Somang Hospital Psychiatry Unit. A combined exercise program that included 60 min per day of exercise 3 d per week for 12 wk was performed.
An efficient direct phthalic anhydride-mediated one-pot glycosylation method employing anomeric hydroxy arabinofuranose as glycosyl donor and triflic anhydride as activating agent has been developed. This method afforded the desired di- and oligoarabinofuranosides in good yields even in gram scale glycosylation when t-butylphthalic anhydride was used. Moreover, our new method can be further extended to the syntheses of repeating oligoarabinofuranoside and tetradecasaccharide arabinan motif found in mycobacterial cell wall.

However, filter paper as a support material is known to be problematic as it can reduce the sensitivity of the test. The newly developed hydroponic method reported here differs from the conventional root elongation method (US EPA filter paper method) in that no support material is used and the exposure time is shorter (48 h in this test versus 120 h in the US EPA test).

Aim: To investigate factors contributing to the colon transit time (CTT), physical activity and characteristics were examined.
Methods: Forty-seven Korean adults (males, n = 23; females, n = 24) took a capsule containing 20 radio-opaque markers to measure the CTT. The subjects used an accelerometer to measure the physical activity and underwent a bioelectrical impedance analysis to determine the physical characteristics.

Background/aims: Physical activity (PA) is associated with a reduced risk of colorectal cancer. Thus, we examined the colon transit time (CTT) according to the physical activity level (PAL) in Korean adults.
Methods: The study subjects were 49 adults: 24 males and 25 females.
The thermal endurance and microstructural evolution of Ni-germanide (NiGe) and Pt-germanide (PtGe) on a Ge-on-Si substrate were compared in this paper. In case of the Ni/TiN structure, the sheet resistance exhibited a stable RTP window of 350 to 600 degrees C, while that of the Pt/TiN structure showed more stable characteristics up to 700 degrees C. Furthermore, after post-germanidation annealing, NiGe exhibited the formation of islands due to the severe agglomeration as well as a prominent grain boundary grooving, which accounts for the sharp increase of the sheet resistance from 550 degrees C, whereas PtGe showed a smooth and continuous surface morphological stability without signs of agglomeration even up to 600 degrees C.
