Radiolabeled antibodies are promising for targeted cancer imaging, but their structural integrity may suffer during bioconjugation and radiolabeling, leading to undetected aggregation. This study evaluates dynamic light scattering (DLS) as a complementary method to size-exclusion high-performance liquid chromatography (SEC-HPLC) for detecting aggregation in radiolabeled antibodies. Trastuzumab was conjugated with a NOTA bifunctional chelator at various ratios, radiolabeled with [Cu]CuCl, and analyzed by using DLS and SEC-HPLC before and after purification.

Background: Chronic biliary disease, including cholangitis and cholecystitis, is attributed to ascending infection by intestinal bacteria. Development of a mouse model for bile duct inflammation is imperative for the advancement of novel therapeutic approaches. Current models fail to replicate the harmful bacterial influx to the biliary tract observed in humans and spread of inflammation to the liver.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates social perceptions and public concerns about male hormone levels and prostate cancer in South Korea using data from popular social media platforms.
  • Researchers analyzed three years of community discussions and news articles, focusing on how these issues are portrayed and discussed online.
  • Findings reveal that while news attracts attention through celebrity-related stories, community discussions emphasize personal experiences and mostly focus on sexual dysfunction rather than medical treatments for prostate enlargement, highlighting the media's role in shaping public awareness and potential stereotypes.

A diastereoselective hydrodifluoromethylation of -heteroaryl alkenes was successfully established. This method was applicable to an array of -heteroaryl substrates with both cyclic and acyclic alkenes while displaying tolerance to a variety of functional groups. The conditions were also expanded to obtain hydrotrifluoromethylated products with similar results.

Purpose: To establish a foundation for raising awareness and disseminating accurate information about enuresis-one of the most challenging conditions to discuss openly-this paper examines public perceptions of enuresis.

Methods: This paper collected title and text data from posts related to enuresis on the top popular online platforms such Naver Cafe in South Korea and Reddit in the United States (US). The data along with the thematic subcommunities where the posts were uploaded, was analyzed and visualized using word cloud, Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling, and pyLDAvis.

This paper examines the use of serious games that integrate engaging gameplay with educational and therapeutic benefits with a particular focus on their application in urology. The study reviews both domestic and international cases to evaluate the current practices and implications of these digital therapies. While serious games have been widely utilized in the treatment of pediatric cancer and psychiatric disorders-areas that require long-term care and management-their application in urology, in particular pediatric urology, has been limited.

Nurses in intensive care units are subjected to high levels of work-related stress and must cope with psychological distress. This preliminary study explored the effects of an online supportive music and imagery intervention on these nurses' perceived stress, psychological distress, and sleep quality. A prospective pre-post design was employed to investigate the effectiveness of online supportive music and imagery interventions.

Background: This study aims to investigate the trend of doctor shopping among patients with rotator cuff tear (RCT) before undergoing surgery and to examine the relevance of these findings to the public.

Methods: A survey was conducted of 326 patients from 10 hospitals (male, 176; female, 150) who underwent arthroscopic rotator cuff repair (ARCR) for symptomatic RCT between September 2019 and February 2020. A questionnaire was used to obtain data regarding the type of medical care service, medical institutions visited before surgery, number of treatments received, and cost of treatment.

Over more than a decade, lead halide perovskites (LHPs) have been popular as a next-generation semiconductor for optoelectronics. Later, all-inorganic CsPbX (X = Cl, Br, and I) nanocrystals (NCs) were synthesized supersaturated recrystallization (SR) at room temperature (RT). However, compared to the hot injection (HI) method, the formation mechanism of NCs SR-RT has not been well studied.

Notch ligands [jagged (JAG) and, delta-like (DLL) families] and receptors [NOTCH family] are key regulators of Notch signaling. NOTCH signaling contributes to vascular development, tissue homeostasis, angiogenesis, and cancer progression. To elucidate the universal functions of the JAG, DLL, and NOTCH families and their connections with various biological functions, we examined 15 types of cancer using The Cancer Genome Atlas clinical database.

Intratumoral heterogeneity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is characterized by a balance between basal and classical epithelial cancer cell states, with basal dominance associating with chemoresistance and a dismal prognosis. Targeting oncogenic KRAS, the primary driver of pancreatic cancer, shows early promise in clinical trials, but efficacy is limited by acquired resistance. Using genetically engineered mouse models and patient-derived xenografts, we find that basal PDAC cells are highly sensitive to KRAS inhibitors.

Radiolabeling of biomolecules and cells with radiolabeled prosthetic groups has significant implications for nuclear medicine, imaging, and radiotherapy. Achieving site-specific and controlled incorporation of radiolabeled prostheses under mild reaction conditions is crucial for minimizing the impact on the bioactivity of the radiolabeled compounds. The targeting of natural and abundant amino acids during radiolabeling of biomolecules often results in nonspecific and uncontrolled modifications.

Jagged1 (JAG1) is a Notch ligand that correlates with tumor progression. Not limited to its function as a ligand, JAG1 can be cleaved, and its intracellular domain translocates to the nucleus, where it functions as a transcriptional cofactor. Previously, we showed that JAG1 intracellular domain (JICD1) forms a protein complex with DDX17/SMAD3/TGIF2.
