Objective: Gout, common metabolic disorders, have poorly understood links with blood metabolites. Exploring these relationships could enhance clinical prevention and treatment strategies.

Methods: We applied bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis, using data from a genome-wide association (GWAS) study of 486 blood metabolites.

Methods: We analyzed extensive data from protein quantitative trait loci (pQTLs) with up to 1,949 instrumental variables (IVs) and selected the top single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) associated with AS risk.
