The lithium (Li) metal anode is widely regarded as an ideal anode material for high-energy-density batteries. However, uncontrolled Li dendrite growth often leads to unfavorable interfaces and low Coulombic efficiency (CE), limiting its broader application. Herein, an ether-based electrolyte (termed FGN-182) is formulated, exhibiting ultra-stable Li metal anodes through the incorporation of LiFSI and LiNO as dual salts.

Carbon coating layers have been found to improve the catalytic performance of transition metals, which is usually explained as an outcome of electronic synergistic effect. Herein we reveal that the defective graphitic carbon, with a unique interlayer gap of 0.342 nm, can be a highly selective natural molecular sieve.

Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), which are widely present in animals and plants, have a broad distribution, strong broad-spectrum antibacterial activity, low likelihood of developing drug resistance, high thermal stability and antiviral properties. The present study investigated the effects of adding AMPs from Hermetia illucens larvae on the growth performance, muscle composition, antioxidant capacity, immune response, gene expression, antibacterial ability and intestinal microbiota of Cherax quadricarinatus (red claw crayfish). Five experimental diets were prepared by adding 50 (M1), 100 (M2), 150 (M3) and 200 (M4) mg/kg of crude AMP extract from H.

4-Nonylphenol (4-NP) is one of the common endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in estuaries and coastal zones, which can exert detrimental effects on the physiological function of aquatic organisms. However, the molecular response triggered by 4-NP remains largely unknown in Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). In this study, transcriptomic analysis was performed to investigate the underlying mechanisms of 4-NP toxicity in the hepatopancreas of L.

Silicon anode suffers from rapid capacity decay because of its irreversible volume changes during charging and discharging. As one of the important components of the electrode structure, the binder plays an irreplaceable role in buffering the volume changes of the silicon anode and ensuring close contact between various components of the electrode. Traditional PVDF binder is based on weak van der Waals forces and cannot effectively buffer the stress coming from silicon volume expansion, resulting in rapid decay of silicon anode capacity.

Introduction: Disorders of sex development (DSDs) are congenital abnormalities in which chromosomal, gonadal, and anatomical sex development are atypical. One of these disorders, 46,XY DSD, is particularly difficult to diagnose and manage because its etiology and clinical phenotypes are highly heterogeneous.

Methods: We used a gene panel containing 141 genes implicated in DSDs to perform targeted next-generation sequencing (NGS) in 50 patients with 46,XY DSD.

Red claw crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) is an important freshwater shrimp species worldwide with enormous economic value. Waterless transportation is an inherent feature of red claw crayfish transportation. However, the high mortality of red claw crayfish is a severe problem in the aquaculture of crayfish after waterless transportation.

The lithium-oxygen (Li-O ) battery with high energy density of 3860 Wh kg represents one of the most promising new secondary batteries for future electric vehicles and mobile electronic devices. However, slow oxygen reduction/oxygen evolution (ORR/OER) reaction efficiency and unstable cycling performance restrain the practical applications of the Li-O battery. Herein, Ru-modified nitrogen-doped porous carbon-encapsulated Co nanoparticles (Ru/Co@CoN -C) are synthesized through reduction of Ru on metal-organic framework (MOFs) pyrolyzed derivatives strategies.

Currently, lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are assembled with polar electrolytes; thus, resulting SEI layers are dominated with organics. Herein, a low-polarity electrolyte is formulated with a low-polarity solvent (tetraethyl silicate, TEOS) and a non-polar inert shielding co-solvent (cyclohexane, CYH); solvation behaviors of lithium salt are investigated. The use of such a low-polarity solvent is found to improve the fraction of anions in the solvation sheath of Li, and the presence of the non-polar co-solvent further shields the reductive decomposition of the solvent on the anode.
