Effects of urbanisation and seasons on the relationship between frozen road conditions and road traffic injury: a longitudinal study of national emergency medical service data in South Korea.

Background: Frozen road conditions could be a factor in road traffic injuries, and seasonality and urbanisation level are potential influencing factors. However, few studies have considered this relationship. Therefore, we examined the effect of frozen road conditions on road traffic injury rates and the differences across seasons and urbanisation levels.

Bone Mineral Density in Adults With Cerebral Palsy.

Low bone mineral density (BMD) is an emerging health issue in adults with cerebral palsy (CP). This cross-sectional study aimed to describe the characteristics of BMD in adults with CP, and to elucidate the risk factors for low BMD in this population. People aged ≥20 years and diagnosed with CP were recruited from February 2014 to November 2014.

Risk and mortality of aspiration pneumonia in Parkinson's disease: a nationwide database study.

This retrospective cohort study investigated the risk and mortality rate due to aspiration pneumonia in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) using a nationwide database. We identified 10,159 newly diagnosed PD patients between 2004 and 2006, and four age- and sex-matched controls for each PD patient from the National Health Insurance Service database in Korea. We analyzed the relative risk of aspiration pneumonia and mortality after the first occurrence of aspiration pneumonia until 2017.

Pneumonia risk and its associated factors in Parkinson's disease: A National Database Study.

Background: Despite pneumonia being an emerging burden on Parkinson's disease patients, there is essentially nothing known on whether they are at an increased risk of pneumonia occurrence and their associated factors.

Rabbit model of tracheal stenosis using cylindrical diffuser.

Background And Objective: Variable methods of animal model have been introduced to develop tracheal stenosis. However, none of the prior models allow for predictable determination of the grade of stenosis. This study sought to establish an animal model of tracheal stenosis by using a cylindrical diffuser and to evaluate the feasibility of a reproducible model.
