Nintedanib is used to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, systemic sclerosis, interstitial lung disease, and progressive fibrotic interstitial lung disease. It is primarily cleared via hepatic metabolism, hydrolysis, and glucuronidation. In addition, formation of the iminium ion, a possible reactive metabolite, was predicted based on the chemical structure of nintedanib.

A new zooxanthellate scleractinian coral, Kishi, Nomura & Fukami, (Scleractinia, Merulinidae), is described from non-coral reef regions of Japan and northern Taiwan. This new species was previously recognized as a morphological variant of (Veron, 1990) and can be morphologically distinguished from that species by lacking groove-and-tube structures on corallite wall joints, and by having larger calices, numerous septa, and up to three corallites in one valley. The new species also formed an independent clade from its congeners, (Milne Edwards & Haime, 1857), and (Wells, 1954), in the molecular phylogeny based on the mitochondrial intergenic region and nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacers.

We present a phase autoencoder that encodes the asymptotic phase of a limit-cycle oscillator, a fundamental quantity characterizing its synchronization dynamics. This autoencoder is trained in such a way that its latent variables directly represent the asymptotic phase of the oscillator. The trained autoencoder can perform two functions without relying on the mathematical model of the oscillator: first, it can evaluate the asymptotic phase and the phase sensitivity function of the oscillator; second, it can reconstruct the oscillator state on the limit cycle in the original space from the phase value as an input.

In this work, the structure of Zn acetate has been determined by a combination of X-ray absorption fine structure and Raman spectroscopy. We have analyzed the local atomic environment and the main vibrational bands of the acetate and Zn acetate at different pH. The results suggest that Zn acetate complex acquires a bidentate structure that modifies its first coordination shell.
