Given their hydrophilic nature, hydrogels have shown great potential as wound dressing materials. However, traditional hydrogel dressing materials are static and do not adapt to dynamic wound environments, which in turn limits their wound healing efficacy. Introducing dynamic covalent chemistries can be an effective strategy to improve hydrogel properties for effective wound healing, such as shape adaptability, stimuli responsiveness, self-healing capability, and antibacterial properties.

Gallium pnictides, such as GaAs and GaP, are among the most widely used semiconductors for electronic, optoelectronic, and photonic applications. However, solution syntheses of gallium pnictide nanomaterials are less developed than those of many other colloidal semiconductors, including indium pnictides, II-VI and IV-VI compounds, and lead halide perovskites. In this work, we demonstrate that the Wells dehalosilylation reaction can be carried out in molten inorganic salt solvents to synthesize colloidal GaAs, GaP, and GaPAs nanocrystals.

Peripheral nerve injury (PNI) is a common disease that is difficult to nerve regeneration with current therapies. Fortunately, Zou demonstrated the role and mechanism of bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) in promoting nerve regeneration, revealing broad prospects for BMSCs transplantation in alleviating PNI. Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) causes symptoms similar to a mild cold for adults, but in case of infants, it causes bronchitis and/or pneumonia, and in some cases, mortality. Pecan (Carya illinoinensis) is a globally important nut crop, yet the processes of lipid biosynthesis and spatial lipid distribution within its embryo remain poorly understood. This study employed UHPLC-MS/MS and MALDI-MSI to profile lipids in developing pecan embryos, identifying 401 lipid molecules, including a high abundance of glycerolipids (148) and glycerophospholipids (144). Differential diacylglycerols showed gradual uptrends, highlighting their role in synthesizing glycerolipids and glycerophospholipids.

The reuse of agricultural waste brings significant benefits but still faces a multitude of challenges. In this work, novel precious metal sorbents were constructed by grafting 1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol (MTD) and 2,5-dithiadiazole-1,3,4-thiadiazole (DMTD) onto native corncob, which could rapidly and selectively recover palladium (Pd) from metallurgical wastewater. The characterization of the sorbents by powder X-ray diffraction indicated that introducing MTD or DMTD on native corncob did not alter the crystallinity and inherent structural framework.
