Isolation of a novel Bacillus strain with industrial potential of producing alkaline chitosanase.

A novel Bacillus strain, designated as HZ20-1, was discovered. This strain can produce naturally alkaline chitosanase without induction. Genomic analysis revealed that this chitosanase belongs to glycoside hydrolase family 8.

Comparison of production of gamma-decalactone via microbial biotransformation based on different adsorption-embedding systems.

Gamma-decalactone (GDL) is an essential flavor additive with peach-aroma, which can be prepared via microbial biotransformation from ricinoleic acid (RA). The difficulty of RA dispersion in medium limited its utilization, which made the yield of GDL low. In this study, four adsorbent materials (AM) were investigated to increase RA distribution, including halloysite, clay, SUNSIL-130NP silica (130NP), and SUNSIL-130H silica (130H).

High-performance perovskite CH3NH3PbI3 thin films for solar cells prepared by single-source physical vapour deposition.

In this work, an alternative route to fabricating high-quality CH3NH3PbI3 thin films is proposed. Single-source physical vapour deposition (SSPVD) without a post-heat-treating process was used to prepare CH3NH3PbI3 thin films at room temperature. This new process enabled complete surface coverage and moisture stability in a non-vacuum solution.
