Peer advice can provide emotional, social and practical assistance for the sustained self-management of chronic conditions. For stigmatised diseases such as HIV, finding support can be challenging. Minimal research on parent-child sex communication with sexual minority adolescents prevents the development of interventions that would benefit adolescent males with same-sex attractions, behaviors and identities. Two patterns of fatigue were identified. The first pattern, continuous fatigue, was characterized by participants who experienced fatigue at all times, which was their normal, baseline feeling.
