Background: Access to clinical services for children with foot and ankle problems are important, but unravelling the complexity of practice and service delivery can be challenging. The pursuit and implementation of research evidence is critical for driving positive change in practice, but little is understood about the approaches to knowledge and research acquisition in children foot health.

Aim: The aim of the study was to: (1) explore multi-professional habits of knowledge and research evidence acquisition in children's foot health; and (2) understand how clinicians integrate information for children and their families into their practice.

Background: Previous research shows considerable variation in pre-registration paediatric podiatry curricula, and thus the clinical skills realised prior to graduation. Whilst pre-registration training is guided by regulatory bodies, these high level principles only refer briefly to standards in paediatric practice. An estimated 9% of podiatry caseloads in the United Kingdom (UK) and Australia are dedicated to paediatric service provision.

Late-onset Pompe disease (LOPD) is a rare disease, defined as a progressive accumulation of lysosomal glycogen resulting in muscle weakness and respiratory problems. Anecdotally, individuals often have difficulties walking, yet, there is no three-dimensional data supporting these claims. We aimed to assess walking patterns in individuals with LOPD and compare with healthy individuals.
