Alpha-KTxs are a diverse group of scorpion short-chain peptide toxins that affect animal potassium channels. We report the biochemical purification, gene cloning, and functional characterization of a new α-KTx named MeuTx3B, from venom of the scorpion Mesobuthus eupeus.
