Introduction: Our objective was to identify factors associated with episiotomy practice in France, in particular, characteristics of the maternity units and regions of delivery.

Material And Methods: We performed a national cross-sectional population-based study in all French maternity units in 2016 including 9284 women with vaginal delivery. Our outcome was the performance of an episiotomy.

The design of reversible-covalent molecules to selectively target the ε-amino functionality of lysine residues in enzymes or proteins is a highly desirable goal. Herein, we describe synthetic methodology used to prepare a series of 5'-thymidine-linked formylphenylboronic acids as probes to interrogate sugar nucleotide processing enzymes that recognize thymidine. The first synthetic strategy mitigated the need for protecting group manipulations of thymidine by capitalizing upon the straightforward preparation, isolation, and reactivity of 5'-azidothymidine.

The aim of this study was to test the hypothesis that the likelihood of physical spousal abuse is increased in dependent personality disorder (DPD) compared to other personality disorders. The sample consisted of 305 subjects consecutively admitted to an outpatient department of legal medicine for physical abuse. Using the Structured Clinical Interview for Disorders, screen questionnaire (SCID-II-SQ), the subjects were divided into three groups: without personality disorders (WPD, N=108), with non-dependent personality disorders (NDPD, N=179) and with DPDs (DPD, N=18).
