Effect of an orientation group for patients with chronic heart failure: randomized controlled trial.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of the orientation group on therapeutic adherence and self-care among patients with chronic heart failure.

Method: Randomized controlled trial with 27 patients with chronic heart failure. The intervention group received nursing consultations and participated in group meetings with the multi-professional team.

Nursing Diagnoses of hospitalized patients with heart failure: a longitudinal study.

Objective: Identifying Nursing Diagnoses of fatigue, activity intolerance and decreased cardiac output in hospitalized patients with heart failure and verifying the association between the defining characteristics and the Nursing Diagnoses.

Method: A longitudinal and prospective study that followed hospitalized patients with heart failure for three weeks. The data collected through interviews and physical examinations were sent to expert nurses for diagnostic inference.
