Methods: A retrospective, observational study was conducted of 72 unannounced, monthly simulated pediatric medical emergencies ("mock codes") in a tertiary care, academic pediatric hospital. Responders were code team members, including pediatric residents and interns (MDs), respiratory therapists (RTs), and nurses (RNs).
